Old Downtown

Old Downtown
Centro - Vitória - Espírito Santo - Brasil

[en] From the 16th century until the 1950s, this downtown area (Centro) has been the place where were living the upper class families of the city, mainly from Italian origin. Then these families have moved to a new area, built on a plane surface, made of large avenues, Praia do Canto. The old downtown became a mixed area, where one can find low range shops, bars and restaurants, logistics enterprises and administrations, and lower classes families.

  12. Neglect and "old" doesn't feel good, but it surely "looks" good on photo. It's colorful, it's not "strict". It's human.
This neighborhood surely seen better days, but it's still look kinda nice on a photo.

  16. A perfect capture! To me this is a portrait of a small man in a huge city. The scale is beautifully shown off here with the inclusion of your distant subject.
