[pt] A Praça do Papa ganhou esse nome depois que o Papa João Paulo II celebrou uma missa no local em 1991. Ao lado da cruz é instalado um Memorial da Paz, em homenagem à visita do Papa.
O terreno acabou se tornando um local para realizações de shows e eventos.A praça conta com um mirante na Ilha do Papagaio, um relógio de sol, uma trilha ecológica e um complexo de alimentação com um restaurante e duas lanchonetes. Ao redor, são instalados decks de madeira.

[en] The Square of the Pope gained this name after the Pope John Paul 2nd celebrated there a mass in 1991. Close to the monumental cross is installed a Memorial of the Peace, in homage to the visit of the Pope.
The location became a place for shows and events. The square offers a mirador in the Island of the Parrot, a sun clock, an ecological track and a restaurant and two snack bars. Around are installed wooden decks.

[fr] La Place du Pape a gagné ce nom après que le Pape Jean-Paul II y a célébré une messe en 1991. Près de la croix est installé un Mémorial de la Paix, en hommage à la visite du Pape.
Le terrain est devenu un lieu de réalisation de shows et d’événements publics. La place compte un mirador dans l'Île du Perroquet, une horloge du soleil, une piste écologique et un restaurant et deux snacks. Autour sont installés des decks en bois.
